I spotted this fantastic wedding invite on Design Sponge it's by Graphic Designer Matt Dorfman of Mother Board. I love the type but the story is the real star!

a serious case of house envy...

not sure how to treat this...perhaps a cup of tea, a biscuit and a walk with lia will show me how lucky I am and that I don't need this amazing house after all!!

where I wanted to get married...

when we were planning our wedding I really wanted to travel to St. Bartholomew’s Church in the Czech Republic which was designed by Maxim Velcovsky of Qubus Design. I love the mix of modern crisp chairs against the stark walls of the church, the amazing chandelier and persian rugs. In the end we decided to stay put and got married in my local church, I wouldn't change a thing and I managed to bring the spirt of St Bartholomew's to my church...see the post below!

Hopefully some day we'll get to visit this amazing church.

happy memories...

As I child I would sit on our swing for hours on end - I have been looking for one for my garden for ages that's not brightly colored or child like...roseandradish.com have this one but at 250 dollars it's a bit too pricey for now

just found this...

so excited, I just found this fab paper cutting on http://madebyjulene.com/
I have emailed to find how much it is and if they will ship to Ireland

chairs...

where to begin...I absolutely LOVE chairs - I don't what it is...maybe it's the fluidity of them but I LOVE them... I have been collecting them for a few years now but the best yet was when one of our Bridesmaids gave us a present of a pair of fibreglass Panton chairs for our wedding!! They now reside in our home and everyday we use the chairs we got married on!

As my invites had two black lovebirds I hung a small little bird at the back of each chair

all time favorite..

I love everything from Danish company Ferm Living especially this wallpaper - it's my all time favorite and now it's finally available in Ireland through www.mabelandviolet.com
I just need to decide where to put it!

a little reminder...

my hubby and I are incredibly open... we end up telling everyone - everything... which isn't necessarily a bad thing but we both agreed to try to keep things inhouse now we are married!! Shortly after this conversation I spotted this print on Bespoke Press - the perfect little reminder - now I just need to decide where to put it!

best buy for an Irish summer...

I love my Marimekko Topaasi raincoat... in a country where it can actually be sunny on one side of your house and raining on the other (and no my house isn't huge) this is the perfect summer buy!

love this packaging...

I think these are brilliant... such gorgeous packaging... Lia however likes to go in the privacy of our back garden so they are a bit unnecessary!

best blog for brides-to-be

www.stylemepretty.com

I couldn't go an hour without looking at this blog!! It's the best site ever - I got great ideas on everything from flowers to invites and dresses!

will I, won't I?

When we bought our house I was slow to tile our bathrooms as I'm not the greatest lover of tiles (mainly because I get bored with things easily... hence why I love paint - 2 hours and a whole room can look different!) however in our main bathroom I choose a bamboo effect tile which I luckily still love... thing is I am contemplating putting orange with the brown...I love the 70's but I am wondering is a step too far in the bathroom!! I love these Orla Kiely bathmats and towels... so maybe I'll give it a go!

continuing the present theme...

If you ever want to treat your friend to a little present - you won't go wrong with The Goddess Guide from Gisele Scanlon an Irish author. It's the kind of book you could pick up and read a page or two at a time...I read it cover to cover and I still go back to it... it's packed full of helpful tips such as the dos and don'ts of shoes according to Christian Louboutin; the best way to get value out of that little black dress; plucking the neatest eyebrows; getting extra legroom when booking a flight etc etc...
The author also designed every page herself, a truly stunning book!

introducing...

our gorgeous doggie Lia...I waited til post 4!! ha ha!!! We love her so much, I love coming down the stairs in the morning to hear her tail thumping as she gets more and more excited that I'm getting up...it's the best part of my day - everyday!

speaking of presents...

...isn't it so hard to find a unique baby present, when my sister had my gorgeous niece Eimear the presents came flooding in and each one was cuter than the last BUT they grow out of them so quick...as the baby boom has well and truely started among my friends I searched for something unusal...something they could keep and this is what I found...this certificate is even more beautiful in real life, it's letterpress printed and available from http://www.officeofthetoothfairy.com/

recent purchase...

I recently bought this poster from http://orkposters.com and I LOVE it...it's so perfect in our home and I think it would make a fantastic engagement present

love this...

we really need to get our garden sorted and I have fallen in love with this Cage Planter in olive green...It's available from Heals and woohoo they ship to Ireland

finally got around to this...

I recently got married and loved every bit of the planning and of course the BIG day itself. I would have been lost without all the wonderful blogs I found along the way, mainly internationally based so I'm hoping to group together the things I love into one blog with an emphasis on availability in Ireland or online shipping to Ireland!
This won't be a wedding blog... although I still have my sisters wedding to prepare for I'll have to leave the obsessiveness go and broaden my daily blogging to include graphics, interiors, architecture fashion, oh and of course dogs!!
