A must see...

I'm coming a bit late to this as it's now on DVD but my wonderful friend Caroline gave me a gift of The September Issue - a documentary about Anna Wintour and the all important Vogue September issue. It's a fascinating insight into the world of fashion.
Grace Coddington is the true star of the show - she is amazing and fearless when it comes to Ms Wintour!

I miss Christmas...

As I sit here in work wrapped around a hot water bottle and a cup of tea I long for the couch and my wonderful husband...why can't we win the lotto so we can spend all our time together?? The joys of being married to a chef! I miss him already.

He was such a sweetheart and surprised me with a beautiful Navy Mackintosh which I would probably never have bought but I love it!!

I came across this Burberry site with gorgeous trench inspiration!

Eco-friendly wooden toys...

My amazing friend Sharon has set up her own business....

"Allow me to introduce Just Add Children... a treasure trove of beautifully crafted Eco-friendly toys made from wood sourced from sustainable forests, all at seriously competitive prices. We've done our homework and are confident that for the quality of the toys, we're super cheap.

Unfortunately the new website has taken much longer than we expected :( so we've put together a basic catalogue and order form in time for Christmas."

If you are interested in seeing the full catalogue you can email Sharon at orders@justaddchildren.co.uk and she can send you on a catalogue! Be quick to insure delivery in time for Christmas!

Sloane Tanen

I saw the yoga image above in the Sunday Times years ago and it still makes me laugh. Sloane Tanen has produced a series of books using little chicks, great sets and witty lines. Her books are hilarious... I recently bought one for my friend who's expecting called Hatched, The Big Push from Pregnancy to Motherhood.

continuing the present theme...

If you ever want to treat your friend to a little present - you won't go wrong with The Goddess Guide from Gisele Scanlon an Irish author. It's the kind of book you could pick up and read a page or two at a time...I read it cover to cover and I still go back to it... it's packed full of helpful tips such as the dos and don'ts of shoes according to Christian Louboutin; the best way to get value out of that little black dress; plucking the neatest eyebrows; getting extra legroom when booking a flight etc etc...
The author also designed every page herself, a truly stunning book!

speaking of presents...

...isn't it so hard to find a unique baby present, when my sister had my gorgeous niece Eimear the presents came flooding in and each one was cuter than the last BUT they grow out of them so quick...as the baby boom has well and truely started among my friends I searched for something unusal...something they could keep and this is what I found...this certificate is even more beautiful in real life, it's letterpress printed and available from http://www.officeofthetoothfairy.com/
