One of my favorite shops was Stilla Filante at 156 Ludlow Street in Manhattan, the shop itself was so beautiful, I loved the anglepoise chandelier as you entered and there was an amazing chair in the fitting rooms (photo to follow - photos above from The Fashion Bomb)
Plenty of empty floor and a hard surface so that we feel empowered to spend: that's my kind of shop.

Ooo I've never been there but looks like an awesome shop! I like how everything is spread out so you can really see the clothes!
