Vincent Van Duysen

So much talent, the amazing Vincent Van Duysen, Architect,
Interior and Product Designer, I love the simple, clean lines
throughout all his work.

NYC here I come...

I just ordered this fab print for friends of ours in NYC who recently got engaged! Really, really looking forward to celebrating with them in not so many days time!!

Available from Ork Posters

Great Wine Tags

Aren't these just brilliant? A friend in work showed them to me today, they are available from popptags

Would you?

Ever since the days of Pretty Woman and Julia Roberts I have thought thigh high boots are pretty cool...in a not that I'd ever wear them kind of way! But if I lived a different life in New York perhaps and had cash to splash I'd be buying these fab Stella McCartney boots on net-a-porter for a mere 880 euro!

Squirrelly Love...

I love these beautiful squirrels from Enormous Champion, and I love, love the packaging. They'd make a great engagement present!

They are available from their Etsy Shop.

Phonofone is a beautifully designed speaker by Science + Sons, it's constructed entirely from ceramic, requires no external power source or batteries and has a ipodstand so you can play music from your ipod outloud, I would love it for my living room!

The audio output of standard earphones to up to 55 decibles(or roughly the maximum volume of laptop speakers).

Just a little pricey at 475euro!! From charlesandmarie.com

Amazing Artists...

Christo and Jeanne-Claude are a married couple who create environmental works of art. I think they are amazing and would love to have seen one in the flesh, my lucky parents happened to be in NYC when they had  The Gates in Central Park.

Their works include the wrapping of the Reichstag in Berlin and the Pont-Neuf bridge in Paris, the 24-mile-long artwork called Running Fence in Sonoma and Marin counties in California

Coincidentally Christo and Jeanne-Claude were born on the same date, 13 June 1935, and allegedly in the same hour.

On the list...

On the LONG list of things to do is pay a visit to the Falling Garden in Venice, a church so beautiful it's breathtaking.

Sloane Tanen

I saw the yoga image above in the Sunday Times years ago and it still makes me laugh. Sloane Tanen has produced a series of books using little chicks, great sets and witty lines. Her books are hilarious... I recently bought one for my friend who's expecting called Hatched, The Big Push from Pregnancy to Motherhood.

Post - woohoo...

I had a lovely surprise when I got home today, I received a little postcard from a friend of mine in Dublin, she is so sweet, she doesn't own a mobile and she sends the loveliest of letters which is such a treat as most people text, facebook or email you and most of the post you receive is bills, bills, bills.

My little Office

Oh I'm so tired now!! I worked all day Sat on the office and was entertaining all day Sunday, work and 2 walks today plus started my sisters wedding invite!! So I'm off to bed now but I wanted to update on the office... It's not finished yet but I'm really pleased with how it has turned out thus far!

I can laugh now but as I was painting this blackboard wall and thinking to myself how easily the paint went on I stepped off the ladder, caught the corner of the tray full of black paint and flipped it up all over myself, I had shorts on - my 2 legs, arms and back were covered in streaky black paint along with the WHITE door, WHITE floor and the saddle board!! But thank God it only put 2 little dots on my newly laid carpet in the hall! I very nearly cried but there really was no point - I lost an hour cleaning up the mess... I still can't believe I did it - so clumsy as usual!!
